Kristie joins the Fowler College of Business (Department of Management) at San Diego State University in August as an Assistant Professor. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Arkansas as the Frank & Donna Oldham Graduate Fellow in 2023.

Her research is rooted in the principle that scholarship should be theoretically and practically meaningful to best serve individuals, organizations, and society.

At a broad level, Kristie’s research centers on the role of organizations in addressing pressing societal issues. Her main research focuses on inclusive work, specifically on how organizations (and their leaders) impact the experiences of vulnerable workers. Kristie uses various methods to study these topics, including experimental techniques, network analysis, and field studies. She received the 2025 Southern Management Association (SMA) Ascendant Scholar Award.

Outside of work, you can find Kristie exploring Southern California’s coasts by surfboard, on a porch with neighbors and friends, or visiting her family, who span the West Coast, the East Coast, and the UK.
